I'm just curious as to why people constantly draw in official styles of cartoons, don't you want to create your own? It's not that I despise seeing the same styles everywhere, it just seems to get repetitive and boring to look at.. Sure you can get quite good at drawing in a style other than your own, but what's the point? It's already official, you aren't making it any more awesome that it already is..
I was just wondering why people do this?
For popularity purposes? To gain an excessive amount pageviews?
I know people like the cartoons, I've drawn things in official styles too, but I mean an entire GALLERY full of the same pictures OVER and OVER? I mean it doesn't really help you increase your drawing skills.. D:
I don't hate these styles, I want to make that clear, I'm just getting really tired of seeing them. I try avoiding them, to be quite honest. I like to see original styles and artwork, it just catches my eyes more.
I know a lot of you definitely won't agree with me, and will probably get defensive, but I just wanted to state my curiosity towards this..
So, tell me, why do artists tend to mimic official art styles?
